The country considers that the German offer “is not yet acceptable”
Namibia rejected Germany’s offer on reparations for the genocide of the Herero and Nama ethnic groups by German colonial troops, although the African country is optimistic about the possibility of an agreement.
“We remain determined to complete this key mission,” Namibia’s President Hage Geingob said on Tuesday at the end of a meeting with the special envoy for negotiations with Germany.
