The rapid recovery of the economy in several Asian countries, especially China, prevented the new coronavirus pandemic from causing a shock in Brazilian exports, said Economy Minister Paulo Guedes today (10). According to him, the Asian “appetite” made up for the drop in sales to the United States, Europe and Argentina.
The minister participated in a virtual meeting of the Milk Chain Incentive Forum, promoted by the Parliamentary Front of Agriculture. During the meeting, Guedes said that, thanks to Asian consumption, Brazilian exports closed the first half almost stable compared to the same period in 2019.
