The case has already been reported by the hotel to the staff of the Public Security Police Force on duty at the hotel.
The Directorate of Tourism Services (DST) condemns the infraction, and has also asked the hotel to reinforce the alert to people under medical observation. The regulations are to comply with, within the scope of the “Law for the Prevention, Control and Treatment of Communicable Diseases”. Violators are subject to coercive isolation measures, in addition to incurring criminal liability in accordance with the law.
At around 7 pm on July 28, a person under medical observation at a designated hotel, left his room without prior authorization to move to a room on another floor, while a security guard was distracted, eventually being discovered by a security guard who was on patrol. Security personnel immediately took that person back to his room.
