Angola: Roaming extends mobile telecommunications to “gray areas”

Citizens will be able to use the mobile telecommunication service in areas where there is no coverage from their operator, with the approval, yesterday, by the Council of Ministers, of the National Roaming Regulation.

The measure, according to the Minister of Telecommunications, Information and Social Communication Technologies, will allow a citizen affected by a certain mobile phone service to be able to communicate in areas where there is no coverage from his operator, but from another.

Manuel Homem stressed that the approval of the proposal for the regulation for the implementation of National Roaming stems from the need to implement greater efficiency in the use of telecommunications services in the country.
