Brazil recorded 59,961 cases of infection and 1,311 deaths associated with covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to a balance released on Thursday by the Health Minister. The country officially accounts for 2,287,475 cases and 84,082 deaths caused by the new coronavirus.
On Thursday, Brazil recorded the second highest number of notifications of cases of the disease on the same day. The record had occurred on Wednesday, when the Brazilian executive confirmed 67,860 people infected by covid-19 in 24 hours.
According to the Government, 1,570,237 infected people are already recovered and another 633,156 are being monitored.
