Bruno Dey, 93, worked in the concentration camp at Stutthof in Poland
A former guard of Hitler’s paramilitary organization, Schutzstaffel (SS), apologized on Monday to victims of the Holocaust.
“I would like to apologize to those who have suffered this hell and to their families. Something similar must never happen again, ”said Bruno Dey, 93, who is on trial in Hamburg, Germany.
Dey worked in the concentration camp in Stutthof, in northern Poland, and said he understood “all the magnitude and cruelty” of what was happening there with the statements by witnesses in the case.
