China diagnosed a new case of local contagion in the far northwest of the country, after ten days with no record of domestic transmissions, Chinese officials said today. The new case was detected in the autonomous region of Xinjiang.
In the last 24 hours, the country has also diagnosed nine new cases of covid-19 among travelers from abroad.
Health officials added that, until midnight (17:00 on Wednesday in Lisbon), 18 patients were discharged, setting the total number of active cases in the Asian country at 251, three of whom are in serious condition.
