A policeman used violence to restrain a 51-year-old black woman during a riot over commercial activity in a bar in the south of São Paulo during the Covid-19 pandemic.
A video recorded by residents, shown by Fantástico, from TV Globo, on Sunday (12), shows a sequence of PM actions during an occurrence on Saturday afternoon, May 30, in Parelheiros, because of a customer who parked the vehicle with high volume sound, while consuming on site.
The bar owner, a widow, with five children and two grandchildren, was beaten by one of the policemen while trying to defend a friend, who had been dominated by the PM and was immobilized, on the floor. She tells the TV reporter that she asked the policeman not to hit the man anymore, who she said was already faint, and had taken knees in the face.
