Brazil highlights more soldiers against Covid-19 than it sent to World War II

The Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday, 25, that about 34 thousand soldiers worked during three months of operations of the Armed Forces against Covid-19.

The military carried out actions such as the delivery of health supplies by land and air transport, the decontamination of 2,600 public spaces and the delivery of more than half a million food kits. They also acted in actions to support indigenous communities. To act in the public health emergency, the Ministry of Defense activated 10 military commands across the country to monitor actions for the pandemic, in addition to coordination centers in Brasília.
