In recent years, several Western countries have seen changes in their traditional political environments. Movements at political spectrum limits, both on the left and right sides, are gaining fans and influence.

Economic anxiety, inequality of opportunities, poor public services and episodes of corruption have resulted in a loss of confidence in the status quo. And the failure of several governments during the past decade to deal with these issues in a inadequately way has led to the blame of the free market and trade.

Despite their differences, left and right extreme movements end up having a common enemy: Liberalism.
