At 94, Queen Isabel II makes her first video call

With the help of her personal secretary for the technical part, the sovereign was the last to join Zoom’s call and the first to abandon it, as required by royal etiquette.

Driven by confinement against the coronavirus, like millions of people worldwide, Queen Elizabeth II used a video call platform for the first time at the age of 94 for an official event, Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday.

The meeting was organized by his daughter, Princess Ana, founder of this association that supports people who care for seriously ill or disabled family members.
