The Angolan President, João Lourenço, praised the work of Portugal in fighting the covid-19, in an evocative message of the 10th of June, in which he defends the “continuous strengthening of the relations of friendship and cooperation” between the two countries.
In a message sent to the President of the Portuguese Republic, João Lourenço wrote that Portugal should take advantage of the celebrations of the Day of Portugal, Camões and Portuguese Communities to “commemorate important achievements in the health field, for the exemplary and effective way it has so far managed to control and contain the spread of covid-19 ″.
Lourenço considers the 10 of June as a memorable date for Portugal and expressed his conviction that the strengthening of relations “will contribute to the materialization of the various initiatives and projects of mutual interest”. The strengthening of diplomatic ties will “certainly help to boost the development of Angola and the consolidation of Portugal’s achievements, in all areas of your country’s national life”, can be read in the message released today.
