Operation targets an alleged scheme of embezzlement of public resources destined to fight the coronavirus
This Tuesday (26) the Federal Police searches the Laranjeiras Palace, the official residence of Governor Wilson Witzel (PSC), of Rio de Janeiro.
The operation, authorized by Minister Benedito Gonçalves, of the STJ (Superior Court of Justice), targets an alleged scheme of embezzlement of public resources destined to fight coronavirus in the state.
The inquiry at the STJ was opened on the 13th, based on information from investigative authorities in the state of Rio. The warrants in execution on Wednesday were requested by the PGR (Attorney General’s Office) last week.
