WHO says it’s unlikely to happen a second major wave


There are more than 5.3 million people infected with the new coronavirus.

The director of the Public Health department of the World Health Organization (WHO) said this Monday that a second major wave of the new coronavirus is “increasingly” unlikely, but advised a lot of caution.

In an interview with Catalan radio RAC-1, Maria Neira indicated that the forecasting models with which the WHO works “advance many possibilities, from new punctual outbreaks to a new important wave, but the latter possibility is more and more to be discarded”.
