Masks and hand disinfection are mandatory, gloves are advised to consult books at the National Library.
National Library of Portugal reopens to the public on Thursday and the National Archives of Torre do Tombo, also in Lisbon, restart face-to-face service on the 12th, both with new rules of protection against the spread of covid-19.
According to the deconfinition plan established by the Government for the end of the state of emergency, declared last Saturday, libraries and archives could open to the public from May 5, but the two institutions had their teams assembled to define rules and date for reopening to the public.
