The Portuguese State Budget (OE) is one of the most transparent in the world (position 23 in a ranking with 117 countries), but it is little participated, that is, it almost does not include ideas from citizens to carry out spending in a different or innovative way, indicates a study released this Thursday.
The Open Budget Survey 2019 study is conducted every two years by the International Budget Partnership (a think tank in Washington) in partnership with several study centers around the world. In Portugal, the partner is the Institute of Public Policy (a study center based at ISEG in Lisbon).
