Italy is the country that, at this time, has been the longest in confinement – since 9 March. “We cannot continue this lockdown,” said Conte, pointing out the risk of causing enormous damage – and “irreversible” – to the country’s socio-economic fabric.
The leader of the Italian Government warned, however, that the recovery must be done with great caution, observing the social distance and wearing a mask in public places. He also announced that he will limit the price of masks to 50 cents.
