Can measure people’s temperature from five meters away
The UAE police have innovated in the fight against Covid-19 and are wearing helmets that can measure people’s temperature in a very short time.
According to the New York Times, “helmets need less time and less contact than traditional thermometers”, as they allow the temperature to be measured from five meters away and allow a check up to about 200 people per minute.
Responsible for this innovation is the Chinese company KC Wearable, which already has orders from the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
“We implemented the smart helmet during this period of crisis, with COVID-19, in all police stations in Dubai, as well as in patrol stations whose duty requires them to be on the front lines,” said police officer Aly al-Ramsy .
