The Judiciary Police seized in Vila Nova de Gaia an “important documentary collection” that will be part of the estate of the extinct PIDE / DGS, the political police of the Estado Novo.
In a statement, the PJ explains that these are “relevant documents and a set of more than 700 negatives of photographic clichés, apparently biographical records of individuals identified by that former police, classified by name and respective nickname”.
In addition to the negatives, “integrating a typewritten review [fingerprint identification], the lot also constitutes a typed dossier / information collection survey and a handwritten name record book”, adds the police.
