The leader of the Spanish opposition, Pablo Casado, of the Popular Party, today questioned the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, how it was possible for Portugal, right next door, to have only 700 fatalities while Spain has already passed 20 thousand deaths due to the new coronavirus.
“How is it possible that Portugal had [only] 700 fatalities and us more than 20,000, if we share a common border?” Asked Casado to Sánchez during the debate in parliament about the extension of the state of emergency in Spain.
