Everton have already sent Sporting an offer to buy Brazilian Wendel. For the miedfielder, the Liverpool team offered 15 million euros, plus bonuses, Plataforma found from a source close to the process.
Despite being a player to the delight of Rúben Amorim, the coach of the Leões, the truth is that Sporting needs to make a high financial sell to prepare for the new season and, for the moment, the Brazilian will be the one with the most market value and the one to surrender more millions to the leões’s coffers.
The 15 million, however, will hardly be accepted by the direction of Frederico Varandas, president of Sporting. According to information collected by Plataforma, the leões only admit to negotiating the player for an amount above 20 million euros.
Everton were the first club to make an offer for Wendel, but there are other clubs that have the 22-year-old midfielder under their eyes. Under-23 international for Brazil, Wendel has already attracted the attention of Nice, France, and also Napoli and Fiorentina, both from the main Italian league.
